Succeeding as an Entrepreneur, a Corporate Intrapreneur, and as a Small Business Owner

Prof. Bruce Bachenheimer will moderate a discussion on achieving success as an entrepreneur, and the pros and cons of different career paths in entrepreneurship, with panelists Eugene Carr, Robert Fuhrer, and Daniel Papes.

Prof. Bruce Bachenheimer is a Clinical Professor of Management and Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Lab at Pace University.

Eugene Carr is an entrepreneur who has been a visionary in bringing Internet-based technology solutions to arts and cultural organizations since the early days of the consumer web. Eugene’s first technology company in 1995 was the groundbreaking national arts listing site Culturefinder.com, funded by AOL Ventures and Comcast.

Considered one of the world's top toy industry experts, Robert Fuhrer founded Nextoy LLC in 1981. Ever since, Nextoy has been connecting original toy and game ideas with the companies that market them. The company is regarded as product-placement specialists for toys and games, publishing, and gifts and novelties.

Daniel Papes has more than 30 years of unique experience in the technology industry, including serving as a Section 16 Officer of a $36B public company, Digital Realty, the largest Data Center REIT in the world. Known as an inspiring leader, turnaround expert, and “corporate entrepreneur”, he has worked for IBM (27 years), Westcon Group (a $6B IT distributor), Siemens Networking Systems (President, North America), and Mainspring (a pre and post IPO ecommerce consulting company).
